laurie pena photography bio picture

Hi, and welcome to Laurie Pena Photography

My name is Laurie Pena, I currently live in Houston, TX with my husband Fido and our 2 squinks, Sophia (6) and Ernie (4) AND our 2 furry kiddos Roxana (Roxy) and Snoopy, two of the fiestest chihuahuas ever! I am a flipflop, sunflower seeds, the color pink loving kinda girl born and raised in a small texas town!  What started out as a "hobby" on flickr.com, has turned into so much more! I haven't felt this much passion for something in a really long time! I love to capture every moment of every day with my camera and I would if I could!

Here on the blog you'll mostly find photos of my children being children and some client work thrown in here and there. Thanks for stopping by the blog and welcome to the world as I see it!

at the fair

took the kids to the ft. bend county fair yesterday. other than the crazy humidity we had a GREAT time. it was fun and we ate some yummy food and the kids rode on all the rides they could! sophia is not scared of anything! she got on that big ol’ ferris wheel in the pic below with my hubby while me and ernie stayed our scaredy butts behind. lol BRAVE little girl, I tell ya!

1st day of school

I was so excited about the first day of school, I couldn’t sleep last night! I only got maybe 2 hours of sleep! I always loved the first day of school! It was always so much fun getting new school supplies, new clothes and looking forward to making new friends. I hope Sophia has the best first day ever! She seemed a little nervous, but I reassured her that everything was going to be ok! She wasn’t the “new” kid anymore! she would be fine, she seemed to relax some after that. I can’t wait to hear all about her day this afternoon!
